I first saw this little ditty on Jim Sullivan’s (Suldog) blog, who, by the way, has a wonderful story up now on his blog about his “Pa and the Big Fish!”
Anyway this “States I’ve Visited” thing grabbed my interest, since I truly didn’t have a clue as to how many of the 50 states I’ve visited. Some say, like David Sullivan at Sullsblog (yes they are related), that you have to leave “fluids” or “solids” in a state before you can truthfully say you have visited the state. So, with this in mind, I clicked on all of them and it came out to 34, as you can see above.
You can go directly to this little ditty by clicking here, unless you already know.
We have two vacations planned this year, but neither will add to the number of states visited since we’ve already been to
Speaking of which, go here, if you want to count countries! I only scored 9!

Thanks, Mushy, that was fun and I scored 26 (1/2 of them). I've often thought it would be fun to purchase a jigsaw puzzle (the kind with the surround and outline where the state fits) and glue in the states I've visited and add others as I go to new states. That would be fun! As you can see, it doesn't take much to entertain me! I've been fortunte in having TDY (Temporary Duty) for training in many states I'd never have visited otherwise. It was also interesting to compare my map to yours. Belle
Always glad to hear from you Cuz!
I've been to all 50 states. Left a fluid or solid in all of them.
Jerry's the man!
I've only ever been to New York, and I don't THINK I left any body fluids behind (but it was a very long time ago). We Europeans are all so close to each other, it's easy to visit diferent countries, I think I've been to most. I plan on visiting India, Russia and China before hanging up my boots, but I've been to most everywhere else.
This is cool! I will have to check it out since we have transferred from Florida to NC to Alaska to Florida. Hmmm I'm not sure if I left "fluids" or "solids" in each state, but I'm sure one of my children did.
That counts!
48....between life, the Air Force, and RV deliveries, the only 2 I've missed are Vermont(don't even want to go near that socialist dump), and South Dakota, and I'm still not sure how I've missed that, and been to/thru the rest?
There used to be a joke about there not really being a South Dakota. Asked if they knew anyone from there, more often than not you would not find someone who knew anyone. Then you'd say, 'cause it's a secret training ground for the military.
How the hell do we count Vietnam? One, or Two? As in Then, or Now?
Just a little "razz" to let you know I made like a turd, and passed-on thru....!
This is gonna come in very handy for a globetrottin' bra like moi! THANKS Mushy!
That's more states than I've been to!
25 States for me.

Right Truth
I'll check it out when I get the time. Sorry bro. It seems I have less and less all the time. My old passport used to freak out the customs dudes in other countries. They'd look in there for a blank page to put a stamp and have to go on and on. It was cool. My new one is blank as hell. Depressing.
Workin' up a post on this. Probably tomorrow. Turns out it's about 36 states and 35 countries.
I've done all 50 states. Nearly every RV dealership I've been in sell maps with colored states you place on the outline of a US map as you visit, and most RVers display these maps in one place or another on their rigs. Great conversation starter.
I've done about 25 or 30 foreign countries, as well. Part from USAF-related travels, but more than a few from my post-USAF career... including China and Russia. I wouldn't have wanted to go to either place while in the Air Force, now that I think on it... ;-)

I just now saw this nice plug you gave me. Thanks, man!
Buck - you are the winner!
Sul - you are welcome.
I just remembered that I went to Niagara Falls last year...so I have been to Canada! Oh well, so the Alaskan trip won't add to my country count, but I can't wait to see the Yukon!
