IN LOVING MEMORY

HENEGAR, JUDITH GORDON (JUDIE) - of Knoxville, died peacefully at home among friends on Sunday, March 9, 2008, after battling complications from pancreatic cancer for almost three years. Judie is survived by her husband of 29 years, Allen Henegar, their daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Kevin White; brother and sister-in-law, John R. (Buzz) Gordon, Jr., and Cindi; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah and Paul Craven and Jimmie and Ted Griffin; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members; and many special dear and devoted friends. Judie graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1969 and attended the University of Tennessee. She worked at the Department of Energy facilities, Y-12 and K-25, for more than 30 years.

She was also an accomplished seamstress, interior decorator, and craftswoman. Judie was an active outdoorswoman. She enjoyed boating and was a member of the Vol Navy on the Tennessee River. Judie also enjoyed flower gardening, custom interior and other specialty decorating, deer hunting, and spending fun times with her family and many friends.

I had two photos of Judie and Allen, and I post them in her honor. The first one shows her and Allen eating lunch on a deer hunt at Catoosa. The second one is of Judie and her brother Buzz after they had successful hunts in Humphreys County, Tennessee.

I always enjoyed being around the pair, especially at their annual pool parties. She enjoyed being with her friends, whether it be on a quiet deer hunt, or listening to loud music and laughing at her parties. She will be missed.

I so sorry brother, for your loss and for her family and other friends. The old and dear friends are always the worst to loose. I've watched all my Mom and Dads friends die off and I know what they went through. As the other guys said, truly sorry for the loss.

I'm Judie's daughter, Holly. Nice to meet you.

My dad sent me a link to your blog today. Thanks for posting this. I had never seen either one of those pictures before!

Holly, so glad to hear from you and I hope you and your dad or managing to get on with life. She loved life, so she would want you to do that and enjoy it.

I met you once years ago, when you were too young to remember, but I do remember you and how much your dad talked about you at work.

Thank you so much for the visit...it means a lot. Tell you dad, "Hey!"
