While the Dragon’s were in Nashville to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular on Thursday evening, and at the Grand Ole Opry House (with Vince Gill) on Friday, the Knights were living it up at the Irish Times Pub and Restaurant in Knoxville. Yep, we actually went there two days in a row!
Saturday we invited Steve’s daughter Becky and her beau Nick, up from “Hot-lanta!”
It was a slow calm day, finding us all in a good mood (prior to the SEC Championship Game). Oh well, the VOLS had their moments…maybe two!
Friday it was four Knights only, with us all ordering beer with Irish fare for lunch – Bangers and Mash, Irish Stew, Corn Beef, and Fish and Chips!
Guinness/Bass (aka black & tans) and
I am still kicking myself for not taking the camera Friday. A guy drove into the parking lot and parked a beautiful ’66 Mustang GT 350…red with white racing strips! It was immaculate and I missed it!

Becky's an adorable gal!
Why is it everytime I see pictures of you, I start wanting a beer?
Not A Grampy is taking me to see the Rockettes next weekend. They are here in Tampa and it is military appreciation day...including retirees! Wheee!!!
Vince Gill rocks..one of my favorites...I took a picture of a Shelby Gt 350 white with blue stripes and had an autograph from Carroll Shelby (verified) on the dash..the guy just turned down 400,000 for it...YIKES
I was rooting for Tennessee yesterday, Mushy. They could have won it, in my book, if not for a couple of really BAD plays. I'm talking, of course, about the INT's...
Yes, Buck, they still need some coaching and to play to their potential, but most of all they need the "killer instinct" on offensive like they seem to have found on defense.
Shelby is one of my heroes NASCAR...there are few left alive.
I understand the show "rocks" Granny!
Bottoms up Phelmy!
I can't believe you didn't take the camera. Thought it was surgically attached. Makes me feel better. I'm always leavin' mine in the car and havin' to go back for it.
Sounds like you guys had a great time, and I bet the Dragons did too. I expect nothing less at this point.
I always bring my camera with me because you just never know. It's that closet reporter in me, I guess.
By the way, now you have me craving beer, not just any beer, but dark beer, which I have yet to try.
Sounds like the ONLY thing missing on the Mustang was the voluptuous blonde---FEMALE, that is!!!
Wouldn't have needed a camera. A PARAMEDIC, maybe...!
Mushy, I can't believe your camera wasn't growing out of your arm by now either!
Wow, that Knight on the right of the top photo has some serious grumpy old fart body language goin' on there! I gather that was the first leg of the hops-assisted attitude adjustment.
...fish and chips, oh go ahead and twist the knife in just a little.
Ahhh, Smithwicks! Excellent choice!
You're lucky to have a close relationship with brothers- and sisters-in-laws. I wish I had that with my family.
It takes effort Goddess...they all have their individual quirks...you have to take them for who and what they are, same as they do me.
