MORE WEST TENNESSEE DUCK HUNTING

I posted the shot below on “The Silverbacks” a few days ago, but Corey has since sent additional shots of the trip to Crockett County, Tennessee to do some “Duck Blasting!”
My son Corey (left) and his college buds Justin and Doug can hardly wait for "Duck Blasting" season each year. They spend long hot hours during the year fixing up their blind, but the hardest thing is waiting out and anticipating Duck Hunting in West Tennessee each year.

This was the result of the first hunt of the year. This hunt occurred a day or two after Christmas.

The blind appears to be very comfortable, with ample room for 5 or 6 “blasters,” and a dog!

It has all the modern conveniences, including a bathroom just steps from any seat!

The shot on the left reminded me of WWII paratroopers preparing to jump out over France from their C-47!

Just looking at these shots, I surmise that the best part of duck hunting is the fellowship and memories they share.

DUCK HUNTING IN WEST TENNESSEE

My son Corey went duck hunting over the holiday with some old college buddies (Doug & Justin) and had a nice time. Day one, they filled their limit, but on day two things slowed down and there was nothing left to do but eat, doze, pull birds out of mice traps, and dart spiders on the ceiling of the blind. A man will always find something to do or kill when bored - a good thing to remember ladies!

In the fall they had a sweaty ol’ time building their “condo” blind in Crockett County Tennessee. A couple of water moccasins came to welcome them to the area, but met quite a resistance to their presence.

I gave my son my .357 prior to the trip and it came in handy while wading in the waters of West Tennessee. (Doug with snake at right.)

The dog is Whisper – a hard working lab that earns her keep.
