UNCLE TOM HAS PASSED AWAY

In my previous post I mentioned that my Uncle Tom (in the center) was sick...well, he died this morning at 3AM.

It was just two weeks ago that he was visiting here locally with my mom and giving me a big hug. Now, within two weeks he's gone!
Man...we should all be so lucky when our times come. At least he didn't have to suffer through chemo and a lot of pain. His kidneys shut down and he went down hill fast.

As you can see in the 2 or 3 post I've had about him (you can search for them if you're interested), I will miss him a lot. He was special to me...laughed at every joke I ever told!

My mom, on the right in the shot above, has no lost 3 husbands, 4 brothers, and 1 sister. Neither her or Aunt Nell (on the left) ever expected to outlive their younger brother Tom.

Sucks, but I hear you when you say at least he didn't suffer long. Give your mom, and yourself a big hug from me.

Isn't it awesome that you'll miss him?

We should all make that much difference.

Hugs Mushy. I am sorry you lost someone you cared much about.

Thanks guys!

His children called and asked me to give a eulogy...guess I'll use the "pepper" story! I doubt I'll make it through what ever I say.

So sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family. He's probably in a good resting place now.

Geez...why didn't someone tell me I missed spelled "passed"! Oh well, you knew what I meant!

I seem to remember that "pepper"-story. Ended in a foot-chase, didn't it?

And of course you have my condolences. I ain't that hard-assed---YET!

At least you still have the memories. Don't ever let 'em fade.

Sorry for you loss. My Dad went that way as well.

Dude, there's a reason I don't teach spelling!

I do know why that wanted you to speak. Hope it went well. Consider yourself hugged and shook around again.

Mushy,
Sorry to hear about Uncle Tom. Glad he didn't have a long drawn out exit. Remember the good times.

Prayers to the family...have not been getting around much, so sorry for being late on this one.

Time moves on, and for us old farts, sometimes it sucks. I am confident Uncle Tom is in a better place.

Oh Mushy, I am so sorry, hon. I recall the post you put up last time you had him and his two sisters all under your roof, it was a good, loving gathering, he's left a lot of warm memories with you all.

I am thinking of you and yours. x

Thanks everyone for you comments. They mean so much to me.

I'll post something about the funeral later.
