PLACES TO HIKE IN TENNESSEE

I really enjoy a good hike and Tennessee is full of places to satisfy any level of activity. I am 63 years old (for another month) and 20 to 30 pounds over weight, so I don't ever over do it. However, if I haven't just had some medical procedure or operation, then I can do a good 4 to 5 miles without falling out on the trail.
Most of the trails I go on are within this limitation and doesn't require over 2 or 3 hours on the path. I put together this "Tennessee Hikes" set on Flickr so I can remember where I've been, where I'd like to go back to, and just to show others what the trail is generally like.

Enjoy the trails I've been on, or just
GO HERE and enjoy them without leaving the house!

He could do it while smoking a cigar. I've never seen anyone hike while puffing a stoggie until I met him!

So, I guess this means you recognized his hugeness in the photo!

I love a nice hike in some peaceful woods, listening to the birds and other inhabitants. It speaks to my backwoodsman soul (which, being a city boy from Boston, is pretty shriveled, but still...)

Aaaahahaha. Yesssir, that's me thar. That was a huge time. Paul turns around at one point and says "What's burnin'?" And there I was, all lit up and all. It was hilarious.

And yea, I'll pull ya. The both of ya. Find us a rickshaw(sp) and I'll haul ya. may well be the only way to get the two of you out there soon.

Still, I'd rather haul you in a canoe. I know just the place.

Naw, I don't want no canoe! Make it a pontoon-boat. I wanna see ya' WORK for OUR enjoyment...!

Are they picking on you, Jeff? (Giggle).. Aw Paul, you sure have discovered some gorgeous places along your travels! There is nothing so good as getting back to nature, once in a while, is there? That's an impressive collection of walks you have plotted out there!
