THINKING GOOD THOUGHTS FOR RON

This photo was taken by my brother-in-law Ron Baldwin. It was taken recently on a beautiful January day, here in East Tennessee, near Kingston, while he slowly paddled a section of Watts Bar Lake, taking in the wonders God has made. Incidentally, Ron lives just beyond the top of that bluff.

Ron is an avid day and back country hiker, camper, bicyclist, and kayaker. There is little in the sports world he will not try, and few places he has not hiked or camped.

He has kept me active over the last couple of years since our retirements, and I thoroughly enjoy his company on hikes, or just sitting, quietly talking, over a sandwich and a “cold beer,” as he likes to say. Ron, Steve, and I try to enjoy as many of these times as possible.

Recently it was discovered that Ron has some potentially serious medical problems and I ask your help in either praying, or thinking good thoughts, for him. He is the best, and he deserves the most!

Thanks,

Paul

UPDATE: Ron will have a lung biopsy performed Monday morning at 10.

UPDATE 2: Ron's PET scan revealed that he has no other occurrence of cancer in his body. It is localized to one spot on a lower lobe, which means he will probably not have to have chemo! This is the best news possible. I prayed that he would not be weakened or down long with this, because he loves the outdoors so much. God is good!

Thanks for all your thoughts, comments, and prayers!

As I firmly believe that every thought IS a prayer, I guess I can truthfully say that I will do both.

I agree with Sarge - Ron sounds like a really cool guy; the kind that deserves good thoughts from everybody, all the time.
