MUSHY'S MOOCHINGS: MY WIFE IS KICKING HER LITTLE BOY OUT!

MY WIFE IS KICKING HER LITTLE BOY OUT!

I was bribed today with a great meal and some cold beer to accompany my wife to the Oak Factory Outlet! The mission was to find me an oak dresser to match my other bedroom furniture. Up until now, I had a mix of oak and painted pine, which was fine with me! The red dresser I now use matches the shelves I built many moons ago to hold my Hot Wheels Mustang and AC Cobra collection.

Now honestly, don’t it look fine the way it is? Women!

Now I’ll have to take them all down to the basement and patch the holes in the wall the shelves made. The next thing she’ll want me to do is replace the race car border! It won’t be my room anymore!

She once had a hen party and one lady walking through the house commented, “I didn’t know you had a little boy.

Yes, I do, and he’s my husband. That’s his room!” my wife told her.

Never had a room of my own growing up, and I roomed with 35 other dudes in the Air Force, or 6 in the tent in Vietnam, and then I got married. I was thrilled when my snoring forced me into my own room – or die! Then, right when I get it the way I want it…I have to grow up and get an adult room.

It just isn’t fair I tell you!

Okay vote: How many like it the way it is? How many the way it will be?

That is possibly the funniest thing you've ever posted, Mushster! For some reason, your hot wheels collection does not surprise me a bit.

I need more info before I can vote, though. If this is solely your room, and the only room in the house you get to do with as you please, then I would fight 'til my dying breath to keep it how you want it. If, however, you also have a den, office, or basement lounge where you decorate and keep your "man things," then it's probably not worth the headache of attempting to reason with a woman.

A man needs his space, too, no matter what the ladies say. And, no, the garage does not count.

Mushy: Leave it the way it is with the collection.

Ooo, I like that top pic with the new oak dresser. I likes me some oak.

Mrs. Mushy has great taste! Then again, I already knew that;)

Hmmm... Well.... Lemme see... I'm gonna go with your wife on this one (or die). I like everything to be nice and neat... My husband has a collection of cars, or car I should say... He's only allowed one. But, if you clean and dust all of that yourself, then you should be allowed to keep it like it is...

Let it be known...it's my room and I do my own dusting...now, how does that figure in?

Your wife is the most patient woman on the planet. She deserves a freaking medal! LOL

Yeah, I'm with walker!! Is it like your bedroom, or an office type of thing? If it is an office or your "own" room, then I say keep it, if it is a bedroom, I have to side with your wife on this one!!

Travesty, the MUSTANGS need to stay up I tell ya. What guest wouldn't feel the excitment of sharing a room with Ponies and Cobras. Women!

Jesus, it's like some sort of creeping despotism. Can't let a guy have one friggin' place in the house without a fuckin' dish fill of scented wood chips and a doily! Poor bastard. Eventually all yer shit ends up in a box in the attic. Sad commentary. Take advantage of a man when he's wounded. Sheesh!

I guess this means you'll be bustin' open those Tostito's? Man...

LOL...you guys are great! Love all the comments thus far!

Since the dresser has been purchased and will be delivered next Friday, it's probably a done deal.

I still have the wood shop in the basement and the computer room, so I still have my spaces!

Look man, don't let her vagina get the best of you. Keep the room. Keep your dignity.

Scott - I'm afraid her vigina got the BEST of me years ago! Ha.

Probably a bit too late to the party, but I say it's your room, you get to say what goes in it. Imagine how she'd feel if you tried to tell her how to decorate the other room.

fuzzbert_1999@yahoo.com said...

Yeah...but it just don't work that way.

Hey - do you really need a make-up table in your room?
On the other hand side: What do you do with your toy cars in your sleeping room, late at night, all alone?

fuzzbert_1999@yahoo.com said...

No, Zep, but I'm starting to see the potiental those drawers have for knives and other pocket junk!

Hubby has his ham radio shack, a separate building from the house. That's where all the radio equipment is, also the music equipment, guitars, amps, etc. Also that's where his "toys" are. He's a little boy too. You have to keep the women AND men happy.

Got the cars moved to the basement today, leaving the shelves bare...looks so emtpy and foreign to me!

I might build some matching oak shelves and move some back upstairs one day...a good winter project.

I don't see why one has to crowd out the others... Cram it all in there together.
