I'LL BE COMFORTABLY NUMB!

GUESS WHO IS GETTIN' TICKETS?

Ol' Mushy is going to do something else he has wanted to do for years - SEE ROGER WATERS IN CONCERT! (fingers crossed) It is just another thing off my "Things to do before I die list!"

The video clip above features Doyle Bramhall II and Snowy White. However, Bramhall will not be with Roger on this tour. It is a shame because he was brilliant with the licks during the “In the Flesh” tour. Doyle, with his casual gum chewing while dueling with Snowy during the Comfortably Numb and Mother numbers, made it look so easy to play!

You may remember Bramhall from his time with band The Arc Angels, another little blues band from Texas.

While David Gilmour is a great guitarist, his licks are by the book, as written, and do not show any fresh spark of creativity. Bramhall’s time with the blues inspires his licks that lose none of the original intent.

Most recently, Doyle played with Eric Clapton on the Sessions with Robert Johnson CD/DVD.

Keep your fingers crossed that the ticket situation ROCKS out for Mushy – sales begin March 3rd! With or without Bramhall, it will be a wonderful music experience.

Yes, my brother-in-law saw him in D.C., but I was unable to attend. I hope to make up for lost time this go'round!

Damn, that is one of the most kick ass versions of comfortably numb I've ever heard. Amazing.

Oh, Waters! Isn't he the guy who made that movie, "Pink Flamingos"? What does he do, poot a tune while he whistles Dixie?

Oh, I'm so envious! The closest I'll ever come to Roger Waters Live is the DVD... and damn! I'll have to go buy another copy, now...

Taking into consideration that their songs go on FOREVER, how long does a Pink Floyd concert last? 6? 7 hours? ;)

Sweeeeeeeeeet!!! I'm sooooo jealous! Happy belated Valentine's Day, by the way!

Ooh! I'm actually jealous. I don't normally have the desire to go to concerts anymore - seems a waste of time and money to listen to three hours of poorly performed music, when I've got all the cds. But some bands - Floyd included - just have to be seen live.

Make sure to score Mushy's Mushies well ahead of time. There's always a severe drug shortage the day before a Floyd concert!

Mushy,

Years ago, and I mean years...the company I worked for at the time (Worldcom) sent a group of sales employees to Nashville for some training.

The hotel where we stayed was located next door to an amphitheatre close to Vanderbilt College.

When we got to our rooms and walked out onto the balcony we heard some music.

Yep, Pink Floyd live. For free.

That's really all I remember about that trip!!!

Man, I can't watch that top clip enough times.

Mushy,

Good luck with the tickets!

Many years ago I attended a 'sales conference' in Nashville near Vanderbilt. The hotel I stayed at was adjacent to the schools's ampitheater. Guess who was paying that night?

Have fun!
