MUSHY'S MOOCHINGS: ROCKIN’ CHRISTMAS EVE

ROCKIN’ CHRISTMAS EVE

Funny how the Dragons congregated in one area and the Knights in another – is that always the case? Well, no not really, it has been more of a recent thing!

Anyway, the Knights enjoyed Winter Lager and Alley Kat beers, intermixed with shots of Patron and “Apple Pie” Moonshine (moon flavored with cinnamon sticks and apple juice), and good cigars.

After stuffing ourselves and taking pictures of the Dragon Sisters, the Knights migrated to the music room, played “find the right remote,” and cranked up the volume. After being yelled at for not closing the door to the dayroom, we closed the door firmly, and resumed “rockin’ out!”

And just think, we still have Christmas Day, another gathering at Bailey’s next week, and then New Year’s Eve! Party on!

It was a good time and the best part was no one got drunk and all were home by 10!

Quite a change from back when we were all young and stupid!

That picture with all those remotes just reminded me of our end table. I bet we have 7 or 8 remotes. I'm lucky if I can figure out how to use one of them, ha. I know they make generic remotes that will handle everything, but someone would have to show me how to use it. Technical I'm not.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! We had Swedish friends of my folks to visit and share with us, they're my parents age and away from their home, both Psychologists doing a sabbatical at Stan-fu, and probably picking up some research material on Holiday Family Behaviors. They welcomed the traditional smorgasboard of Christmas Herring in oil and in sour cream, among other Scandihoovian deklights, and it went well with my Mom's Swedish heritage and mild obsession.
My wife went to see her Dad in the hospital, to read and quietly be by his side, and he was reassurred by her presence. He's on the downward loop and this will be the last Christmas for him...

God bless you and yours!

I lost my step-dad last March, at was at his side when he passed. I seen another step-dad and my dad go as well. I know what she must be going through.

The Swedish influence on your Christmas celebrations must have been an extraordinary experience.
