I read a little on one of your links, Diary of a Baby Killer's Baby" a while back. Now I don't remember and keep dodging it, thinking it'll make more work for me. I'm so dainty, you know.

Yes, I'm sorry the fellow has stopped writing for a while. He was very good at painting word pictures.

All that looks like fun. You know they showed that thing on the K-whatever plant again today on TV.

Nice house. Nice porch. Love the hammock, though I'm sure I'd kill it if I tried to use it. Nice deer, but I gotta tell ya, I've seen bigger bass, up close.

Looks like the life of a very happy guy.

That fish? That was my bait!

The hammock is dump proof, it will not throw you out...it really hangs under the rope and it's more comfortable than the ground.

I am very blessed and am very happy, but am very undeserving.

Being a LARGE mammal, I was thinking of the ropes breaking and the thing collapsing on me while I'm in mid-snore. Occurs to me that you were probably ejected from the tent for that very same phenomenon. My camping buds have learned to pitch their tents far away or wear ear plugs.

Did you ever try an air mattress in yer tent? Revolutionized the experience for me. Have a few Thermarest pads, but the things they sell at wal-mart, full or twin size, are the best. You've got to fully inflate them and then lay down and deflate them till they comfortably conform to your body. When I camp in winter I've got the twin under an old down duvet, with a down comforter and flannel sheets. The comforter is one I sewed a zipper on years ago so I could take it out on the ships and use it as a sleeping bag. Sleep better out there in the woods than in the house.

Yeah, snoring is a problem, that's why I have my on room! However, the hammock helped my back and allowed me to move away from the other snoring fools.

I only camp in winter, preferably with a snow on the ground. Most people assume I freeze in the hammock, but it's not true at all. I have had zero nights at Cades Cove and still had to vent the top to let in some cool air.

Go to http://www.junglehammock.com/ for more on the system if you're interested. The ropes are tested for over 1700 pounds, so if your more than that, you do have a problem!

A lot of Vietnam vets like it because they used to sleep in regular hammocks while out on extended patrols.

1700 lbs capacity should just about be able to carry the weight of my swolen member, thanks.

I LOVE the house amid all the trees - looks like the perfect hideaway. And oh, those fall colors. Heaven.
